The Opportunity:
The Manager, Makeup Category Engagement & Brand Operations is responsible for serving as subject matter expert (SME) in creating and curating programs and deliverables related to the training and development of makeup category and product knowledge for our Sephora and Sephora at Kohls stores. They also act as the primary training contact for select brand partners and merchants. The ideal candidate is a makeup enthusiast, passionate about creating best in class learning that motivates and inspires store teams to drive selling behaviors in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment. This position will lead the Makeup Category Engagement & Brand Operations, Associate Manager.
As the Manager, Makeup Category Engagement & Brand Operations you will...
- Lead makeup category and brand training programs, including content creation and timeline management
- Consult with and guide brand leaders on their appropriate resource investments, including sales team growth & placement, and creation of training content/materials for Sephora
- Develop and maintain strong collaborative partnerships with other subject matter experts, makeup brands, merchants, and additional cross-functionals across the organization
- Collaborate with support teams on design and delivery of innovative curriculums while identifying and communicating any risks to success of makeup products or category
- Coach, mentor and develop direct reports, including overseeing new employee onboarding, and providing career development planning and opportunities
- Demonstrate business acumen of KPIs: track, analyze, and share impact of makeup category and brand programs to set standards and achieve meaningful results

- 3-5 years Retail or beauty training & education
- 2-3 years Managing direct reports and talent development
- 3-5 years of makeup artistry experience able to analyze and convey techniques
- Build strong partnerships and effectively communicate needs and challenges
- Prioritize and manage multiple projects with overlapping timelines
- Exercise respect, initiative, enthusiasm, empathy, innovation, and flexibility
- Work both independently and collaboratively to achieve outcomes
- Ability to Identify content needs for a variety of audiences and expertise levels
- Proven adaptability and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong presentation skills
The annual base salary range for this position is $128,435.00 - $143,545.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
