Description:
This critical position spearheads our clients 1:1 initiative, utilizing fan data and data science techniques to revolutionize marketing strategies and boost fan engagement.
The big focus for this role is they want someone who is going to be focused on data. 80% of their time will be spent on data and analyzing the data. 20% will be spent on how we make sure those insights are actually actionable for a marketing team.
Knowledge about the Marketing space is critical so that we don't do analyses for the sake of analyses but we know how to solve the marketing teams problems. Communicating with the marketing team is interesting because usually analytics team gets clear problems but not the case when working with the marketing team. Marketing team thinks from a creative perspective so their questions are open-ended. This person gets to understand what the marketing team is seeking to do and able to put that into an analytical problem. This is the marketing piece ^^ Export marketing and experience working with the marketing team so you can understand their language. Even with the 80% of the data part. ⅓ is understanding the problem and structuring it into the right analytic problem. ⅓ working on the problem, ⅓ thinking about effectively communicating the problem. They’ll be working with 10 people who are supporting the execution part. More like guidance, you’re not managing them but your guiding them. There responsible for the output, there’s no managing of resources from a career perspective.
A lot of it is primarily focused on how we think about personalizing the communication strategy. How do we make it better, and in a coordinated fashion among with their clubs and other internal teams. A lot of it is focused on dealing with huge data sets, because they have a big fan base and who interacts with them to through things that the league manages like their app, and things that's are managed by the clubs, like tickets, things that are managed by their partners like their merchandise, e-games. Bringing it all together and finding insights from that to help their Strategy Team think about where their long term focus should be when it comes to their fanbase and how they can get intimate knowledge from the fanbase/database and how do they use that to help the marketing strategy for both the leagues and the clubs.
