The MSL Communications Manager analyzes and interprets clinical information to author and maintain Neuroscience Medical Science Liaison (MSL) and Medical Affairs resources including slide decks, Q&A documents, and training resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops MSL/MA Scientific Resources - Responsible for creation of innovative, high quality, and complaint neuroscience field medical proactive & reactive resources, FAQs, training resources, etc. Imagine new ways of engaging customers by identifying unique platforms for sharing content
- Autonomously collects, critically analyzes, and summarizes pertinent internal and external content - Evaluate documents and studies that provide scientific or economic rationale for the use of JNJ pipeline and marketed Neuroscience products.
- Grows and maintains collaborative working relationships with internal & external partners (& vendors) to provide scientific content development support - Represent Scientific Communications within Scientific Dissemination Committees (SDC) and other cross-functional teams as needed. Strategically partners with Medical Affairs & Brand Marketing teams to collaborate and understand proactive scientific support.
- Leads selected Medical Affairs projects - Participate and support additional broader Medical Affairs department projects based on business need.
- Imaginative problem solver - Willingness to learn new data and become an authoritative resource for groundbreaking clinical data and develop a deep understanding of Neuroscience products and diseases (severe mental illness, mood disorders, neurodegeneration).
- A minimum of a BA/BS in Pharmacy, Life Sciences or Nursing is required.
- A PharmD or PhD degree is preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience (including a related pharmaceutical industry post-doctoral Fellowship) within a Medical Writing, Medical Information or Scientific/Medical Affairs function is required.
- Outstanding meticulous written communication skills are a critical element.
- Project management skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects and timelines are crucial.
- Consistent track record to lead within cross-functional teams is required.
- Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word is required.
- Vendor relationship management experience and creativity / problem-solving compliantly is helpful.
- This position is located in Titusville, NJ and may require up to 10% domestic travel for conference attendance and company meeting.
