Job Summary and Qualifications
JOB FUNCTIONS: Our Facilities Management leader is responsible for staffing within the maintenance of the hospital. This role will oversee all hospital equipment operations and respond to emergent needs and repairs as needed. The role will oversee all preventative work and ensuring all systems are compliant, operationally safe, and documentation needs. The right candidate for this role MUST HAVE hospital experience to be successful in this role and MUST have leadership experience with direct oversight of a team.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leads all activities associated with the building maintenance and operational efficiency.
- Manages work order processing and efficiency.
- Manages department safety training and compliance.
- Teach and develop maintenance skills for staff.
- Performs staff performance reviews and disciplinary actions when required.
- Monitors TJC compliance issues and understands building code.
What qualifications you will need:
Education:
- High school degree or equivalent is required,
- AS degree, Technical degree is preferred, or graduation from vocational college.
- 8 years related experience with at least five years in a healthcare setting.
Licensure/certification/registration:
- Journeyman’s license in an engineering trade (plumbing, electrical, mechanical, etc.) is preferred.
- An International Maintenance Institute (IMI) CMT-3 Certification or a Technical Associate’s Degree may be substituted.
- Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) is preferred
Experience:
- 5 years trade experience in hospital/medical field
