Position Overview: As the Manager of Med/Surg and Telemetry, you will be responsible for the strategic and operational oversight of our high-acuity departments. You will play a critical role in ensuring patient safety, optimizing staff performance, and implementing evidence-based practices that enhance the patient experience. Collaborating with senior leadership, youll develop strategies to improve patient outcomes, streamline workflows, and support continuous professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Building: Supervise, mentor, and inspire a dedicated nursing team to ensure the highest standard of care within Med/Surg and Telemetry units.
Operational Management: Oversee daily operations, ensuring appropriate staffing, adherence to regulatory requirements, and effective resource allocation.
Quality & Safety: Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction, reducing adverse events and promoting positive outcomes.
Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, ancillary services, and administration, to ensure cohesive care delivery.
Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines, and champion evidence-based practices that align with hospital policies.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Masters in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in Med/Surg and Telemetry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role in an acute care setting.
Licenses/Certifications: Current RN license in California; BLS and ALS certifications required.
Skills: Strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in team development and patient care improvement initiatives.
