Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Manager of Revenue Accounting to oversee all aspects of our revenue function. This role will be highly visible across the organization, engaging with teams at all levels, including the C-Suite. You will be instrumental in ensuring compliance with ASC 606, managing contract reviews, and providing insights on deferred revenue reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the revenue accounting function, focusing on accurate revenue recognition and compliance with GAAP and ASC 606.
- Review contracts to determine appropriate revenue recognition procedures.
- Manage deferred revenue waterfall reporting and ensure timely billing and collections activities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to support revenue-related initiatives.
- Oversee and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement best practices in revenue accounting and reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Significant experience in Revenue Accounting within a SaaS or subscription-based business model, with a strong understanding of ASC 606.
- Proficiency in deferred revenue waterfall reporting and GAAP compliance.
- CPA designation preferred.
- Familiarity with Netsuite and/or SaaSOptics is a plus.
- Proven leadership skills with a track record of developing and mentoring team members.
