Salary is commensurate with experience and educational credentials. Candidates must successfully pass a background check that is satisfactory to the University. This person will report to the Assistant Dean for Education.
QUALIFICATIONS:
It is strongly preferred that the candidate have relevant technology management experience (i.e., instructional technology, instructional design, augmented and virtual reality, website development, simulation technology, e-portfolios, etc.) regardless of the setting (e.g., K-12, higher, and/or health professions education). Candidates are encouraged to have experience supporting educational technology in health professions settings, but it is not required.
Additional knowledge, skills, and abilities preferred for this role include:
- Broad knowledge of instructional technologies, instructional design, assessment practices, data management, augmented and virtual reality, and simulation technology; application in a health professions setting is preferred
- Training and experience working with learners and educators (small group facilitation, instructional development, one-on-one mentoring, etc.)
- Collaboration with team members to develop curriculum content, assessments, and resources
- Use of active learning and assessment strategies to enhance engagement and knowledge retention
- Proficiency with word processing, presentation, data analysis, and data visualization software
- Awareness of individual and team needs to thrive in a start-up education model
- Evidence of motivation, approachability, coachability, & continuous development

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The candidate selected for this position will perform all duties directed by the Assistant Dean for Education and WSDM ELT. The candidate will be expected to perform the following duties, including but not limited to:
Simulation Technology Management
- Coordinate and communicate expectations of simulation technology to learners, faculty, and personnel
- Monitor simulation technology needs, maintain appropriate supplies, and contribute to budget management for sustainable practices
- Manage the portfolio of simulation technologies used by the program (e.g., SIMtoCARE, iSIM, etc.) and their routine maintenance
- Collaborate with team members to design effective simulation learning environments that motivate learning, engage learners, and facilitate knowledge retention
- Evaluate and optimize simulated educational experiences through continuous quality improvement
- Provide training to faculty, learners, and personnel on best practices and the utility of simulation technologies used by the educational programs
- Identify new simulation technologies and advise educational programs on purchasing and implementation
- Contribute to research initiatives and dissemination about the simulation technology practices
- Participate in local and national simulation and health professions education organizations

ACCOUNTABILITY:
- This position will report to the Assistant Dean for Education with input from Executive Leadership Team members
- Evaluation: Ongoing performance reviews are conducted along with an annual assessment by the Assistant Dean for Education, which includes input from the faculty, personnel, and learners.
