About the Job
Position Summary:
The primary role of the Software Quality Assurance Manager is to oversee the activity of the Quality Assurance (QA) team, developing, implementing, and maintaining a system of quality and reliability testing for the organization's products and/or development processes.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain quality assurance standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Organize, manage, and assist manual and automated test engineers to ensure minimal production defects
- Establish QA metrics and reporting dashboards for team, leadership, and business stakeholders
- Establish User Personas in collaboration with Product Ownership team and business stakeholders
- Clearly document and thoroughly execute Acceptance Tests
- Organize and manage manual and automated test case libraries
- Participate in deployment testing exercises as needed
- Participate in all SCRUM events, including Backlog Grooming, Sprint Planning, daily stand-up and Sprint Review
- Mentor QA team members and assist them with domain knowledge
- Lead Training on QA-related topics, encouraging cross-functional knowledge share
- Keep abreast of changes in technology, standards, and relevant developments in IT & testing by maintaining professional competency through training, reading, and linkages with professional organizations
- Lead QA process improvement initiatives, fostering an environment of continuous improvement
- Collaborate effectively with team members and others in organization to resolve testing issues
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies
- Adhere strongly to retrospectives and lessons learned disciplines and hold the team accountable for acting on the agreed plan for improvement
- Adhere strongly to governance and compliance disciplines and champion governance and compliance with the team
- Other Duties as Assigned
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences, software engineering, technology management, business management, or similar.
Experience Required:
- 6+ Years software Quality Assurance experience with Enterprise Applications
- 6+ Years SDLC in an Agile/ SCRUM environment
- 4+ Years QA leadership experience
- Test Case Management, Defect Tracking and Quality Reporting
- In-depth knowledge of software testing principles, methodologies, and automated testing
- A ‘can-do’ attitude to meet challenges; energized by change and thriving in team-based work
