POSITION PURPOSE:
The New Business Development Manager is responsible for the aircraft charter sector by generating and maintaining an assigned portion of the company’s revenue through sales, service, administration and teamwork activities, focusing primarily on our Business Jet sector, while growing personally and professionally to contribute to the future wellbeing of the company and the individuals who work there.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
• Consultative Relationships: Establish internal and external customer relationships, with our employees, the FAA, and potential new clients. Continue to reach or exceed assigned project goals
• Project Management: Manage projects as related to the administration of new aircraft into our company fleet, including other documents and informational databases and provide detailed handoff information to the project management team.
• Teamwork: Provide information and support to fellow employees, customers contractors according to account and company requirements.
• Communication: Show enthusiasm towards project communication within the administration of the project. Maintain excellent verbal and written communication with prospects, customers, vendors, and the internal team.
• Self-Development: Maintain an active schedule of self-improvement activities for continuous, personal and professional development, including self-education and training, involvement in professional associations, and participation in company training.
• Research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services - new ways of reaching existing markets
• Collect and analyze information and data related to procedural efficiency within the organization.
• Develop new solutions, practices and strategies to support long-term business growth.
• Interview organization employees and complete on-site observations to better understand organizational strategy and efficiency.
• Collaborate and work with managers and executives to ensure strategies are performing.
• Research and analyze market trends and industry competition.
• Present findings, projections and recommended strategies.
• Travel to meet with customers, clients, potential partners face-to-face or over video
• Foster and develop relationships with customers, clients, and potential partners
• Keep abreast of trends and changes in the industry.
• Build strategic partnerships to further our company growth
• Performs other duties as assigned by the CEO/President.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering, or related field preferred.
• Experience in Project Management – Aviation related
• Strategic thinker - able to see the bigger picture
• Dynamic, articulate, and well-spoken
• Have a good understanding of 14 CFR regulations, Aircraft operations, FAA, technical manuals and writing.
• Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.
• Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive and handle uncertainty, all in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to travel 50% of the time
• Ability to travel to offsite locations.
• Must be available by phone during off duty hours.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
Strategic Planning Manager over assigned teams.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
Must qualify on type aircraft assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Work typically performed in an office environment. However, due to work requirements, may require frequent travel which will involve exposure to noise, chemicals, adverse temperatures and other similar hazards.
