If your forte is working with WebSphere – development or administration and you have some good eCommerce experience along with some team lead or management experience this could be the position for you!
 
Responsibilities

• Manage system enhancements to the WebSphere platform and supporting e-commerce systems
• Managing a team of about 7 -10 direct reports plus some offshore consultants, WebSphere developers
• Will have some budgetary responsibilities
• Creates an effective work environment by developing a common vision, setting clear objectives, expecting teamwork, recognizing outstanding performance and maintaining open communications
• Develops staff through coaching, providing performance feedback, providing effective performance assessments and establishing performance and development plans
• Develop architecture, technical design and transition processes
• Ensures completion of high level technical design and review detailed designs.
• Manage break-fix and enhancement projects
• Manage workload of developers/analysts/in-store resources
• Develops and executes integration and performance test plans
• Reviews implementation plans and develops application implementation plans
• Required to learn company policies, procedures and safety rules
• Duties may change and associates may be required to perform other duties as assigned

 
Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering or relevant field of study preferred.  Equivalent years of related work experience will be considered
• 5 + years in IT field with prior experience as a Developer with strong WebSphere and eCommerce exp and progression into a Team Lead or Management role; will also consider a candidate who has a strong background in WebSphere administration who has progressed into a Team Lead or Management role.
• Demonstrated experience managing or leading a team of WebSphere Developers
• Experience managing e-commerce platforms and projects and team with an understanding of  UI cloud-hosted solutions
• Demonstrated experience with managing and supporting Web Services
• Working knowledge and understanding of XML, XSLT, JSP and how it relates to the interface design and HTML layout
• Demonstrated experience in translating business capabilities to technical solutions
• Demonstrated focus on customer relationships, associate development, and resource planning
• Demonstrated ability to work well with cross-functional teams
• Proven track record of success in fast-moving organizations with complex technology applications
• Strong oral, written, and presentation skills
• Demonstrated passion for learning and sharing knowledge
• Works independently; Able to assess and execute without direction
• Retail industry experience is a plus
