The Pima County Health Department is actively seeking a Public Health Manager II to lead the Office of Policy, Resilience, and Equity Division. This is a grant-funded role supported by the CDC’s Public Health Infrastructure Grant, which is set to conclude on November 30, 2027. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in advancing policy, systems, and environmental change initiatives aimed at enhancing the health of Pima County residents and addressing health disparities. In this position, the Public Health Manager II will be responsible for fostering the capacity of staff and programs to effectively engage a diverse array of community stakeholders and identify needs and opportunities to improve health outcomes. Additionally, the selected candidate will monitor and analyze changes in public policy and formulate recommended actions for consideration by the department and county leadership.
This position will also work with other County departments to develop approaches to build staff and organizational capacity to address equity, diversity, and inclusion. The candidate will supervise a staff of 10 including 4 direct reports and collaborate closely with the Department Director, Deputy Director for Programming and Development, and various divisions and programs within the Pima County Health Department.
