What you will be doing: Manager, Pathology

• Oversee the Anatomic Pathology/Histology department and lead a team of histotechnologists, cytotechnologists, and Pathologists Assistants.
• Manage in-house operations including specimen grossing, processing and cutting, IHC and special stains, frozen section processing, and digital pathology.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and billing standards, including technical and professional billing.
• Develop, oversee, and implement the delivery of existing and future laboratory services while ensuring a high level of quality.
• Manage resources to ensure results meet patient needs and the economic resources of the hospital.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive test menu that aligns with patient and provider needs and financial goals.
• Assist in planning and maintaining operational budgets, completing variance reports in a timely manner.
• Schedule, interview, hire, orient and ensure the competency of staff.
• Complete thorough performance evaluations and monitor productivity in the department.
• Align testing and services with organizational strategies and goals.
• Identify future needs in terms of equipment, facilities, and staff and submit justification for procurement.

Experience you will need: Manager, Pathology

• Seasoned professional knowledge equivalent to a Master's degree; knowledge in more than one discipline.
• 5-7 years of experience in a related field.
• Certifications: MT (ASCP), SBB (ASCP), PA (ASCP).
• Experience with Pathology Outreach programs is preferred.
• HT (ASCP) certification is preferred.
