Who You Are
You are interested in building scalable processes and leveraging data to inform them. You are a hands-on leader, who will think and act both strategically and tactically. You will be responsible for the coordination and management of the team handling payroll tax notice processing, and other operational tasks related to payroll tax notice administration including, working with both our customers and tax agencies. In addition, you will be responsible for coaching, mentoring and developing a team.
What You Will Work On
- Help build and manage a team of Tax Notice Coordinators and Specialists
- Scale the Tax Notice team by increasing team efficiency and working cross-functionally with, Tax Operations, Payroll Operations, Payment Operations, Customer Support, Product and Engineering.
- Partner with the Manager's of both Payroll & Tax Operations to ensure clean hand-offs and quick client resolution
- Own and manage the operational workflow for daily Tax Notice administration processing to include being the liaison between our clients and taxing jurisdictions
- Train and mentor Tax Notice Team members
- Accountable for swift resolution of tax notices and other client inquiries
- Facilitate team and individual goal setting, performance reviews, hiring, terminations and all other managerial tasks as required
- Comfortable working directly with clients using a CRM and being an escalation point for the Tax Notice team
- Identify pain points and remediate issues by creating processes and maintaining operational tools
- Communicate changes in procedures and other important updates across teams and to senior leadership
- Establish and ensure adherence to policies and SLAs
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years management experience required
- Minimum of 5 years hands on experience in Payroll Tax Notice Administration
- Prior Payroll Provider experience required
- Mastertax experience preferred
- NoticeNinja experience preferred
- Technologically savvy; experience with utilizing multiple systems and software programs
- Comfortable working in excel or google sheets to include, formulas, pivots, vlookups, if statements
- Flexible and calm under pressure with an ability to thrive in a changing and complex environment
- Work effectively within a team, yet have the ability to take initiative and work effectively on your own
The base wage range for this position based in our Tampa, FL Office is targeted $122,000 - $134,200 per year.
Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to skill set, level of relevant experience, and specific work location. Salary ranges for positions based in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
