Responsibilities:Responsible for general management of the Physician Development and Strategic Alignment Department. Duties include strategic planning, development and implementation of alignment strategies to achieve System, Service Line and Medical Staff goals, objectives and long range plans. Focus on Northside MOB and Outpatient Services growth strategies and initiatives. Participate in community outreach.
PRACTICE ACQUISITION/STRATEGIC ALIGNMENT
1) Working with Director, develops and implements objectives and plans to support the systems' strategic alignment strategies.
2) Interviews, hires, supervises and evaluates performance of Physician Development Staff.
3) Works with consulting firms to initiate, perform and review fair market valuations to determine the best alignment strategy for each physician group in relation to Northside's goals.
4) Presents FMV results and alignment proposals to physician group.
5) Negotiates terms with physician group in order to prepare and present the offer (Letter of intent).
6) Prepares offer letter (LOI) with consulting firm and legal counsel
7) Once LOI (letter of intent) is signed, initiates contracting and on-boarding process.
8) Initiates, follows and confirms credentialing process with Medical Staff office and Galen billing.
9) Engages legal counsel to prepare appropriate legal documents: employment agreement, PSA agreement , Asset Purchase agreement, Lease assignments and/or property purchase.
10) Coordinates with Practice Management team to initiate on-boarding process including: HR, IT, Compliance, Quality and Marketing.
11) Coordinates with RTG, Peacock Design and Northside Project Management on potential new space or renovation or expansion of new and existing space.
12) Participates in practice staff on-boarding.
13) Prepares Needs Assessment, Compensation Coversheet and Contracting Report for internal distribution.
14) Works with legal counsel to prepare documents for and to finalize close.
15) Ensures compliance within legal parameters.
16) Reviews contracts on an ongoing basis to ensure compliance and to prepare for renewals.
17) Initiates renewal process with valuation firms, Northside internal team and physician/s.
18) Researches and evaluates healthcare market changes and recommends appropriate strategies for growth.
PHYSICIAN RECRUITMENT
1) Recruits physicians as needed on a project basis as assigned by Director or necessitated by practice needs.
2) Coordinates all recruitment efforts: agenda, interview itinerary, travel and accommodations.
3) Follows up with appropriate internal team to determine outcome of interviews.
4) Engages consulting firm and legal counsel to perform FMV and to draft agreements.
5) Initiates on boarding process with Northside internal teams.
GENERAL MANAGEMENT
1) Works with the Director in reviewing and evaluating market to develop and implement alignment strategies to achieve system goals and objectives.
2) Develops and implements quality improvement plans in a manner consistent with the hospital's Mission and Values statement; ensures compliance with all applicable regulatory and accreditation agencies.
3). Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Immediately reports any mechanical or electrical equipment malfunctions, unsafe conditions, or employee/patient/visitor injury -accident to Manager.
Qualifications:REQUIRED:
1. Bachelor's Degree in health care or related field.
2. Three to Five years progressively responsible experience in a hospital setting with a minimum of 2 years experience in health care administration dealing with medical staff management issues.
3. Proven business development and/or sales skills.
4. Excellent oral communication skills; ability to provide presentations to groups of varying sizes.
5. Excellent written communication/business writing skills.
6. Ability to work independently.
7. Must possess a valid GA driver's license and personal automobile.
PREFERRED:
1. Prior experience in health care administration.
2. Knowledge and experience in the utilization of personal computers and the application of word processing and spreadsheet programs.
3. Prior experience in health care marketing or related field.
