Overview:
Summary Statement:
The Production Manager Lighting - Zouk Group primary responsibility is to oversee, operate, plan, build, and manage lighting, projections and electronic elements of events and productions for the Zouk Group venues. This position is a key member of the production team, responsible for taking ownership of their assigned areas.
Job Duties:Primary Job Duties: – Includes but is not limited to:
- Oversee operations of light and projections equipment in a safe and consistent manner.
- Manage inspection and maintenance programs of fixtures, consoles, and tools.
- Prepare the Scope of Work, technical requirements, specifications, Bill of Materials, Project Schedule, and supplier deliverables for the equipment and accessory procurement process.
- Work with performance production teams to build event specific lighting and projections plans.
- Perform the load-in of artist equipment and rental equipment, to include set-up and break-down of equipment.
- Accommodate lighting adjustments to artist or event specifications and requirements.
- Maintenance and repair of lighting equipment.
- Assist with production throughout the house as needed.
- Assist with the technical advance with artists representatives.
- Ensure proper care and handling of all House of Business Engineering (HOBE) and rental lighting and audio/visual equipment.
- Interact with visiting production crews to ensure a successful show.
- Create lighting plot plans.
- Oversee and operate systems pertaining to lighting throughout the entire event.
- Assist with Special Events Operations and ensure lighting needs are scheduled and met.
- Maintain documentation as necessary.
- Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Adhere to and promote all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations as they pertain to the safe operation of all elements related to the show; participate in all required health and safety classes and emergency rescue procedure training.
- Use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.
- Perform other job-related duties as requested.
Qualifications: Includes but is not limited to:
- Previous experience and knowledge of the setup and programming of GrandMA2 and GrandMA3 hardware and software
- Working knowledge of Spotlight Operations
- Previous experience in Stage Lighting, Pro Audio systems and Basic Video systems in a similar or related field.
- Experience as a vendor/client liaison for complex projects from start to finish.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Good general understanding of all technical aspects of a show.
- Working knowledge of AC\DC theory and electrical safety.
- Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor.
- Personnel management experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
- Flexibility, autonomy, team player.
- Strong communication skills.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies, and procedures.
Preferred:
- Ability to read and comprehend A/V system drawings, specifications, technical manuals.
- Technical-level knowledge and experience with digital and analog A/V technologies.
- Strong working knowledge of information technology systems, network infrastructure and operations.
- Strong working knowledge of industry standard A/V technologies, best practices, and service programs.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Visio.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
Minimum Education and Experience:
- College diploma (or equivalent) in live entertainment or theatre production (or equivalent work experience).
- Must be 21 years of age.
- At least five years of previous experience operating and maintaining lighting and projection systems and/or theater experience with large-scale productions.
- At least three years previous leadership/management experience.
Preferred:
- Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.
- Previous experience working in Nightlife.
Certificates, Licenses, Regulations:
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
