I. Job Summary
Leads collaborative, integrated teams comprised of multiple stakeholders to plan, develop, strategize and produce required customer focused deliverables for proposals. Reviews RFPs, manages tasks and activities, tracks proposal development, assists in evaluating RFP scoring and shaping, writing and editing a winning proposal. Creates compelling presentations and writes other material for all segments of the sales organization.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
+ Manage all aspects of proposal development from initial receipt of solicitation to final delivery including but not limited to team communication, writing content, assisting in developing win themes, strategic value props, and integrating proposal best practices into RFP product, monitoring timelines, adhering to brand guidelines, and final production and delivery.
+ Work with sales to develop overall proposal strategy. Understand local Market Areas/Segment's goals in relation to the proposal. Embrace and represent intended customer approach and strategy, and incorporate this strategy into proposals.
+ Experience in the corporate and local government procurement arena.
+ Review, analyze, and respond to various solicitation documents and contracts; work with legal and local market personnel to understand how terms and conditions effect the proposal and evaluation criteria.
+ Facilitate RFP response strategy sessions to garner local relevant technical and community information from stakeholders in multiple departments that can be integrated into proposal response.
+ Write and edit in support of sales efforts. A high level of proficiency is essential in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word; some experience with Excel and desktop publishing formats is desired.
+ Research, customize and adapt existing marketing information such as company backgrounds, qualifications, operational processes, maps, charts, templates, etc. in developing winning proposals.
+ Develop and streamline processes and techniques for proposal development to increase likelihood of success.
+ Meet internal and external customer expectations for proposal content, compliance, corporate branding, and delivery deadlines.
+ Work with sales personnel and subject matter experts to develop and prepare responses to large-scale bids, proposals, and qualification packages.
+ Facilitate collaboration of proposal effort between multiple locations and cross-functional teams.

The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job. Must live and work in the US.
A. Education and Experience
+ Education: Bachelor's Degree (accredited) in Marketing, Advertising, Strategic Selling, Communications or a writing discipline; or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and 4 years of relevant work experience.
+ Experience: Five years of relevant business or technical writing experience.
B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
+ None required.
C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required
+ A background in corporate communication, sales or marketing communications is essential.
+ Work independently, experience working in a matrix organization and being a team leader.
+ In-depth understanding of various government and corporate procurement processes and how to manage to increase probability of winning.
+ An understanding of large account selling techniques including business case development, account profiling, solution-based selling, organizational and presentation skills, negotiation skills, implementation, and follow-up.
+ Must have above average skills in the Microsoft Office environment.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Internal candidate must be performing in an above average capacity in their current position be an employee in good standing.

The expected base pay range for this position across the U.S. is $80,000- $95,000. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
