About the Job
This position requires specialized skills and knowledge to handle the challenges and complexities of the office and project quality activities. With authoritative decision-making this role’s recommendations have a significant impact on business line quality policies and programs. This role may supervise the work of assigned quality personnel as needed.
• Implement and supervise technical quality (i.e., adherence to client, regulatory agency, and company requirements), and help to maintain harmonious client relations
• Communicate effectively with all labor grades, and contribute ideas that stimulate positive direction of business line personnel
• Serve as project Quality Manager on small to medium sized projects, if necessary
• Maintain relationships with key internal and external Clients and external Quality community
• Typically manage personnel and provide an environment for the development and professional advancement of staff members, including on-the-job and formal training and development opportunities ,and timely performance feedback
• Leverage internal and external resources to administer policies and procedures consistently across all business lines, functions, and locations
• Analyze situations, identify and forecast pertinent problems and evaluate realistic options; and recommend/implement appropriate course of action
• Organize and prioritize a variety of complex projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet critical time deadlines
• Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards
• Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies
• Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job
• May need to travel to attend to business related matters
• Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality
• Implement the QA/QC management system at the site.
• Coordinate quality inspections with all site subcontractors and vendors.
• Coordinate non-destructive testing on site.
• Coordinate with the customer’s representative on all quality matters.
• Coordinate all receipt inspections.
• Distribute relevant QA/QC documentation to site subcontractors.
• Verify that quality-related site activities comply with applicable codes and standards.
• Participate in internal and external site audits.
• Coordinate all quality site inspections through site QC inspectors.
• Ensure all quality control documentation is compiled and completed for as-built handover through the QC turnover engineer.
• Control all nonconformance reports and undertake remedial action.
• Complete site quality control instructions and action remedial responses.
• Review the Company specification and provide relevant training to site QC inspectors.
• Monitor the implementation of the approved site QC Plan.
• Complete and coordinate the approval of site QC technical submittals to the Company.
• Coordinate with the Company’s dedicated site construction manager on all quality issues.
• Coordinate and chair QA/QC site weekly meetings with project subcontractors and QC personnel.
• Elaborate inspection and test programs.
• Ensure safety is adhered to at the site.
• Assure all technical documents related to site quality control are current.
