DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Position Title: Manager, Risk (M2)
Role
The Risk Manager will manage and maintain claims and vendor insurance compliance. In addition, duties will involve negotiating Corporate Insurance policy renewals, performing contract review, conducting incident investigations, and performing other risk related matters. The Risk Manager will work directly with the Risk Management Director (RMD) and will be responsible for supervising Risk Analysts.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate the administration of all liability and property claims
* Regularly review loss reports and work with the TPA, Litigation Attorneys, and broker to provide strategy and/or additional resources to move claims toward timely resolution
* Analyze incidents and claim demands for potential coverage and report to all necessary policies
* Approve settlement, reserve amounts, ALAE, or claim denials
* Identify loss trends and make suggestions to reduce severity and frequency of losses
* Prepare deductible and SIR recommendations
* Join and participate in incident discussions, as appropriate
* Assist Risk Management Director (RMD) in setting vendor insurance compliance standards
* Responsible for managing team enforcing vendor insurance compliance
* Prepare, review and analyze monthly compliance reports as necessary
* Negotiate and redline risk management provisions in corporate contracts
* Assist Risk Management Director (RMD) in maintaining and updating internal publications and provide Company-wide training
* Identify risk management compliance issues and oversee remediation strategy with management and field personnel when required
* Maintain strong internal relationships with operations, safety, legal, and finance teammates
* Maintain strong external relationships with existing insurance carriers and brokers
* Train, instruct, and supervisor teammates
Education/Certifications
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent industry experience and either an ARM or CPCU industry designation. Higher level of education will be considered in lieu of industry designations.
Experience/Minimum Requirements
* Minimum of five (5)+ years of work experience in the risk management r insurance industry.

* Computer skills using Microsoft Office and ability to learn a variety of tracking and project management software
* Ability to work on cross-functional activities and form solid business relationships across all functions

* Strong ability to effectively and efficiently communicate insurance compliance issues to management

Organizational Relationship

Title(s) of direct reports (if applicable): Risk Analyst
Working Conditions: This role falls into our hybrid work model working in the office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. On Mondays and Fridays, teammates on the hybrid schedule will have the option to work from the office or home. There is an expectation of collaboration with teammates and stakeholders for moments that matter that could require travel.
