Job Summary (Primary function)
The US Marketing Team/Product Strategy members play a pivotal role in developing strategy, communication plans, and executing tactics for Jakafi®(ruxolitinib) in the treatment of myelofibrosis and polycythemia vera in the US as well as future indications/new products. The candidate will lead promotional peer-to-peer initiatives across MF and PV. Additionally, candidate will support other personal and non-personal HCP promotional initiatives. This candidate will work collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders including Sales, Market Insights, Business Operations, Medical Affairs and external agency partners.
Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities)
Developing peer-to-peer strategy and supporting tactics that increase the effectiveness and impact of the peer-to-peer deliverables for Jakafi®(ruxolitinib) in the treatment of myelofibrosis and polycythemia vera in the US.
- Contribute to building and managing an industry leading peer-to-peer platform by leading and managing speaker bureau vendor, leading and executing speaker training, and leading the development of on-label content that aligns with brand strategy and messaging.
- Lead external expert recruitment efforts for speaker’s bureau and marketing-related key customer efforts.
- Lead external expert training and development initiatives for speakers bureau
- Develop and execute personnel / non-personnel promotional programs and tactics, manage through the MLR process and ensure alignment and integration across channels
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Sales, Business Operations and other key functional areas including Medical Affairs, Regulatory, and Legal
- Coordination with Business Operations and Market Insights to incorporate program learnings and customer insights into future initiatives
- Develop and maintain a high degree of therapeutic area knowledge
- Budget preparation and maintenance
- Perform all company business in accordance with regulations and company policies and procedures
Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency)
- Bachelor's Degree, MBA preferred
- Experience in the Oncology/Hematology marketplace required
- 3-5 years pharmaceutical and biotech experience (brand marketing, sales, sales leadership etc.)
- Ability to foster relationships, build advocacy, negotiate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
- High energy, creativity, and aptitude for handling multiple tasks concurrently
- Strong teamwork, collaboration, communication and presentation skills are required.
- Project Management experience and experience with internal Medical, Legal, Regulatory process is preferred but not mandatory
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong technical skills required in order to develop content and analyze market trends
