The A&F Co. Stores Training & Development Team is dedicated to onboarding, training and developing all levels of store talent globally. Supporting over 30K associates around the world, this team partners with leaders and functional experts to deliver learning curriculums and tools that aim to inspire, educate and retain our associates. The Learning Manager leads the development Strategy for our global stores organization. Through data & insights they identify learning needs and are experts in build content and experiences in response. They drive content innovation to meet the needs of our evolving and growing business. The manager provides guidance to their team on best delivery methods based on each associate persona and learning style. They are responsible for managing the department budget and identifying partners, tools and investments that maximize return. They are highly cross functional and associate-centric and team up across all levels within the organization. The manager is a champion of our brands, culture, and people and has a passion for creating an inclusive environment where all A&F associates feel a sense of belonging.
This job is located at our Global Home Office in Columbus, Ohio.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Own the learning strategy for all levels of our global stores organization.
- Understand the learning journey for each persona within our stores, identifies opportunities and strategizes solutions.
- Is an expert in original content from intake to delivery. Partners with subject matter experts to research, design & develop content that meets the needs of the business and associate.
- Oversee insight collection by defining the survey strategy, establishing moments with key cross functional partners and business leaders and leveraging insights through our associate engagement survey.
- Partner with the other HR centers of excellence and HR business partners to align learning and development programming with overall HR initiatives to maximize impact
- Establish team’s annual calendar and major project plans. Actively assesses progress and adjusts resourcing & timelines to meet the needs of the business.
- Ensure the A&F Co. Culture & Values, Leadership Standards, and Purpose are embedded throughout learning & development programs.
- Partner closely with our Home Office learning team to identify efficiencies across content, experience and processes.
- Is well versed in understanding the capabilities of our Learning Management System to help guide team on best delivery methods and establish/maintain effective learning journeys.
- Team up with the Global Inclusion & Diversity team on developing programming to strengthen inclusion, diversity, and cultural competencies across the organization as the company continues to grow globally
- Strategize and manage budget; identify, select and maintain relationships with all external partners. Drive the third party risk management process for all new partners and contract renewals.
- Managing team of specialists and coordinators to execute learning solutions in a high quality way.
- Stay curious and research best practices in learning, growth and development to ensure our programs evolve in progressive ways
What Do You Need To Bring?
- Bachelor’s Degree or related experience
- 8+ years of experience in Human Resources, Leadership Development or Stores Leadership preferred
- Expertise in building robust and innovative content in-house that is clear, informative, digestible and visually appealing
- Experience strategizing and maintaining a department budget
- Outstanding project management skills
- Familiarity with different learning technologies and content development tools
- Experience and ability to confidently facilitate engaging presentations and classes
- Confidence to interact with and influence all levels of leadership across HR and stores
- Proven leadership experience and ability to thrive in team-based settings
- Successful track record in building and maintaining relationships
- Engaging and optimistic personality with the ability to respond quickly and positively to change
- Curiosity about how people learn and grow best
- High standards and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects and deliverables effectively
