About the Job
- Manage a team of senior system engineers
- Take a hands-on approach to coach and lead teams to fix issues actively and continuously identify patterns for a larger problem solve to avoid repeat issues
- Build operational and business health monitoring tools to help production support teams in their day to day activities
- Apply technology and automation to improve monitoring, alerting and issue resolution
- Build strong teams to have well-defined procedures, run books for triage and resolution
- Able to focus on right priorities and drive teams towards achieving them
- Develop and maintain a strong and real-time feedback loop with the development teams to alert and implement on issues that could be avoided through better design, coding or monitoring
- Drive production stability and reliability efforts throughout the year to prepare for peak volume days and key events
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in Infrastructure Operations, Reliability Engineering, Production Support area
- 2+ years as a technical manager with people leadership skills and performance management experience
- Retail/Ecommerce industry experience
- Passion around ensuring and Performance of Security and IT infrastructure for customer facing applications is Scalable, Reliable, Available
- Experience with Databases like SQL, NoSQL Oracle, Cassandra, MongoDB
- Curious problem solver, eager to dig into issues, drive root cause analysis and build automation to solve friction points
- Automation experience, able to speak to examples of how the person positively impacted the their team's productivity
- Highly attentive and responsive to communication
- Linux OS and some basic to advanced commands
- How to navigate SRSX through interface?
- SSL certificates
- DNS
- Dockers
- Kubernetes and overall architecture of K8 platform and components
- Scripting skills with SQL, Python, Bash, etc.
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
