Job Summary:
The Manager, Accounting will report to the Sr. Accounting Manager of Accounting. The role has four major job function areas 1) responsible for performing lease accounting, lease account reconciliations, and overseeing the accuracy and integrity of all lease related accounting issues. 2) reviewing month end journal entries prepared by AP team staff. 3) Overseeing fixed assets accounting process, reviewing various monthly and quarterly schedules in fixed assets area including FA SEC footnotes. 4) Reviewing monthly and quarterly headcount repots. This individual possesses the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Great interpersonal skills, excellent English verbal and written communication skills, ability to meet deadlines, ability to follow procedures accurately, strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Understands and applies the accounting for lease transactions in accordance with ASC 842 - Leases;
• Prepares and maintains schedules for new leases, terminations and modifications;
• Coordinate and track monthly fixed / variable rental payments with Accounts Payable team;
• Prepares reports to support all lease accounting disclosure requirements for the Company's filings with the SEC;
• Review fixed assets monthly additions and monthly AUC workbook.
• Review fixed assets monthly, quarterly and YTD Rollforward schedules;
• Keep track fixed assets' major construction projects;
• Monitor fixed assets annual physical count;
• Review and post month end journal entries prepared by AP team staff;
• Review and post month end fixed assets accrual related journal entries prepared by AP team staff;
• Review the company's headcount report prepared by Sr. Financial analyst;
• Assist in quarterly financial review and annual audit with external auditors;
• Assist with various ad-hoc reporting or financial related projects
• Assist in development and implementation of processes and procedures to enhance team contribution.
Qualifications:
• B.S. or B.A in Accounting or Finance (CPA and Big 4 experience preferred)
• Strong GAAP accounting, analytical and problem-solving skills
• 8+ years of accounting and/or auditing with exposure to accounting/financial reporting from Fortune 500 or high growth firm in the high-tech manufacturing industry
• Knowledge of MS Offices and SAP a plus
• Must be very detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Able to effectively communicate, including written and oral, with Accounting, IT Resources, and Operations, across all levels of the organization
• Must be self-motivated, flexible, deadline-oriented and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision
• The ability to sustain productivity in a fast-paced environment, maintain composure and focus under pressure and deadline.
Salary Range
$140,000 - $150,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
