An important aspect of patient unmet need includes helping them start and stay on their medicine for the best chance at treatment success. The Patient Engagement and Customer Solutions (PECS) organization serves patients, during their treatment journey with Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine therapies, to help overcome challenges to fulfillment, on-boarding, and adherence.
The Training Manager, who reports to the Associate Director, Strategy & Operations, will be responsible for leading learning and development efforts that align with business needs. This role includes providing guidance for the execution of Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) Learning and Development across the organization to improve field execution, promote consistent strategies, coordinate efforts, and share valuable insights. The Training Manager will collaborate with FRM leadership, payer marketing, regulatory, HCC, access, and other relevant teams to identify training needs, create programs, and ensure successful implementation.
Primary Responsibilities
- Trains and develop Field Reimbursement Managers (FRM) and colleagues
- Designs and delivers disease and product training for new hires, advanced learning, brand updates, and FRM meetings
- Designs and delivers access training and advanced learning, to the FRM organization
- Creates and conducts live and virtual training sessions
- Coordinates workshops at National and District meetings, ensuring smooth facilitation, active participation, and valuable field learning experiences.
- Leads learning sessions to increase the FRM's understanding of disease, product, competitor access and fulfillment knowledge
- Leads learning sessions to increase understanding of reimbursement, payer landscape, and access
- Creates and delivers effective learning programs that utilize suitable technology, various learning techniques (e.g., role-playing, modeling), and different approaches to enhance individuals' knowledge and performance.
- Provides actionable feedback during and following training sessions to improve individuals' proficiency levels
- Continually develops and applies knowledge of adult learning principles, and new learning techniques to best meet learners' needs
- Identifies and communicates learning and development opportunities to initiate innovative approaches to the training curriculum
- Works closely with FRM Leadership, FRM Advisory Boards, Brand Teams, and Commercial Leaders to develop training materials that align with organizational goals and improve execution.
- Collaborates with team members, the National Director, and Assistant Directors to foster consistency, optimize resources, and exchange successful methods.
- Ensures compliance with HCC, Regulatory, and Company guidelines while facilitating content, and operates the business in alignment with the highest ethical, legal, and compliance standards. This includes timely and successful completion of all required training.
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required
- 5 years of relevant business experience in sales, field reimbursement, marketing, or training functions for management level position
- Expertise with all Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Excellent written and oral communication, facilitation and platform skills
- This position is based on Horsham, PA or Titusville, NJ and requires up to 25% travel. This position is office based with 3 days expectations in office per week
- Pharmaceutical industry experience
- 2 years of Immunology disease state experience
- Instructional design experience
- Understanding of the specialty pharmacies, managed care, pharmacy and medical benefit and government payers and their impact on product access
- Ability to communicate payer coverage criteria and prior approval processes
- Extensive knowledge of the payer approval process in the clinical setting, and a strong understanding of business operations.
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $99,000 to $170,200.
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis. •
