A Typical Day:Responsible for managing and supporting critical analysis and reporting automation by gathering and proposing requirements, creating and maintaining quantitative methods and SQL procedures, and query data from database to obtain information as needed. Use various reporting functions such as Strategic Planning, Investment Analysis, Financial Reporting, Accounting, Treasury, Pricing and Risk Management, and other valuation key attributes. Project and model the value and performance of mortgage assets, using both third-party and internally developed tools. Prepare assets valuations and analysis for valuing portfolio assets including Agency, Non-Agency’s securities, whole loans, term notes and other securities. Analyze and communicate the financial impact of changes in the portfolio value due to changes in assumption sets, market movements, and analysis period. Work with a variety of financial and mortgage-related instruments such as MBS and other related Derivative Instruments, MSR, and Whole Loans. Analyze, evaluate, and discuss drivers and trends presented in the financial reports in order to help other stakeholders better understand the market movements and their impact. Perform and manage daily, weekly, and monthly reviews, analysis, and documentation of current processes using financial metrics and reports. Propose and implement recommendations to stakeholders for new or existing reporting formats. Position also supervises First Vice President, Valuation & Interest Rate Sensitive Investments.
What You’ll Bring:Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Financial Engineering, Mathematics, or related quantitative field. Coursework must include Financial Accounting, Econometrics, Empirical Method Finance, Data Analytics & Machine Learning. Familiarity and background in the valuation of mortgage related assets (MBS and other related derivative instruments, whole loans and / or MSRs).

Compensation: Individual salary may vary based on multiple factors including specific role, geographic location / market data, and skills and experience as defined below:
- Lower in range - Building skills and experience in the role
- Mid-range - Experience and skills align with proficiency in the role
- Higher in range - Experience and skills add value above typical requirements of the role
Some roles may be eligible for performance-based compensation and/or stock-based incentives awarded to employees based on company and individual performance.
