About the Job
To plan, organize and manage 24-hour operations in Coater 6 to manufacture value added glass to customer requirements. Efficiently develop and utilize people, equipment, materials, utilities, and budget to meet SBU requirements for Safety, Environmental, Quality, Labor and Expense in Coating. Provide leadership for the development and effective implementation of strategies to achieve and maintain world-class levels of quality while improving profitability. Maintain close interactive relationship with Customer Service and Marketing
Responsibilities:- Safety, Health, and Environment - Ensure full compliance with Vitro safety standards to avoid serious injury and ensure a safe and healthful work environment for all employees.
- Quality - Support the Works No.: 4 Quality Process by personal example and encourage all employees to apply quality principles to their work activities to optimize departmental performance.
- Financial - Operate the maintenance department within budgeted allowances and minimize total maintenance costs to assist in the attainment of plant financial objectives.
- Enterprise Excellence Management: - Provide direction and resources for the plant to become a Lean Enterprise through the use of appropriate Lean Manufacturing tools (e.g. elimination of waste and 6 Sigma, etc.).
- Quality Management: Provide effective leadership required to meet the outgoing quality goals of the plant through appropriate programs for quality; plant performance -- in house and in the field; and complaint settlement
- Engineering Management - Provide effective engineering operations management to ensure completion of projects on time and within budget as well as effective technical support for maintenance and production personnel.
- Maintenance Management - Provide effective management of maintenance operations to minimize equipment downtime and maximize individual productivity.
- Service Orientation - Provide prompt and effective service to production departments to support the attainment of plant production goals.
- Employee Training/Development - Conduct effective evaluation, counseling and appropriate training and provide equal opportunity of all personnel to achieve maximum development of individual capabilities.
- Modern Management - Apply modern management human relations concepts effectively to assure maximum involvement, participation and support of company goals by all employees.

• B.S. Degree in Engineering or applicable degree is required
• 6+ Years of Leadership Experience is required
• Exhibited leadership and administrative ability
• Possess the characteristics recognized as desirable in supervising employees and effectively controlling their activities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to supervise, train and develop all direct reports

• Expertise in computer systems, including Microsoft and data entry systems
