Description: Our client is currently seeking a Manager – Corporate Security
Open to relocation candidates
Hybrid in Sacramento, CA
Direct Hire/FTE
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Direct and manage the corporate security team to protect employees and assets
Communicate and interact with members, law enforcement, and branch/department personnel to ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and procedures
Navigate complex security challenges, build strong relationships, and drive a culture of security awareness.
TASKS, DUTIES, FUNCTIONS:
Develop and train security staff, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
Maintain an efficient and safe physical security program.
Administer all aspects of physical security, including executive protection, security systems, and equipment.
Manage security threats by identifying, assessing, reporting, and mitigating threats of violence.
Respond to robbery calls and provide training and awareness for personnel.
Understand state and federal laws and regulations related to compliance, including workplace violence protection and anti-money laundering laws.
Foster a positive work environment, promoting skill development and positive employee morale.
Review and take action on procedural recommendations for efficiency.
Investigate and respond to member and employee issues.
Provide information from fraud accounts to other departments and law enforcement; respond to requests for documentation and testify at trials.
Assess adherence to security programs and procedures, assisting all areas in achieving goals.
Review, recommend, and negotiate security vendor contracts.
Conduct interviews, investigations, and reporting related to workplace violence issues
Assist with internal investigations of theft, fraud, and criminal matters.
Develop and facilitate security and safety training for all employees
Lead emergency response and safety team.
Lead or participate in cross-functional projects impacting security.
Develop external partnerships with law enforcement, regulators, and professional associations.
Maintain understanding of regulatory requirements and risks, ensuring operational integrity and compliance.
PHYSICAL SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND EXERTION:
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Experience managing physical systems.
Experience supervising/leading teams and projects.
Manual dexterity to operate office equipment.
ORGANIZATIONAL CONTACTS & RELATIONSHIPS:
INTERNAL: All levels of staff.
EXTERNAL: Vendors, suppliers, members, local law enforcement, and government agencies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice or comparable discipline or equivalent experience.
EXPERIENCE: Six years or more of progressively responsible management experience overseeing Physical/Corporate Security, Threat Management, Risk Management, or Loss Prevention
Law enforcement experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Strong communication and leadership skills, knowledge of automated database programs, financial calculators, personal computer and related software, electronic banking equipment, and member relations skills
Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects
Strong sense of ethics and professionalism.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Prolonged sitting with regular mobility.
Corrected vision within normal range.
Hearing within normal range.
Occasional movements to interact with staff.
Carry and respond to mobile phone seven days a week, including off hours
Travel to assist or correct security issues.
Minimal travel throughout the United States for knowledge and skill enhancement
Regular local travel to resolve security issues and attend meetings.
Occasionally long work hours may be required.
Occasionally required to change work schedule to cover staff shortages or high-volume periods.
