General Information
This position supports the Fort Mill 1 facility located in Fort Mill, SC.
Your Key Responsibilities
To ensure the quality of parts:
- Parts meet the specified print specifications.
- Reduction of deviations in the manufacturing process.
- To assist operators in monitoring the process to ensure a state of statistical control and capability
- Assist in the problem-solving activities to detect and prevent product nonconformance.
- Champion the 8D problem solving process.
- Develop control plans.
- For Heat Treat Quality Engineer
- Support Metallurgical lab with Met Lab Analysis and problem solving of nonconforming material.
- Coordinate with production and engineering for determining heat treat recipes for new products.
- Support Met Lab equipment and record maintenance.
- Ability to operate Met Lab equipment a plus.
- For Heat Treat Quality Engineer
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related Sciences and/or experience in a quality related field.
- Basic knowledge in Statistical Process Control and Design of Experiments.
- Computer skills (Excel, Power point, Word).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in related Sciences and/or experience in a quality related field.
- Knowledgeable in TS 16949 / ISO 9901 quality guidelines.
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints as well as familiar with geometric characteristics and symbols.
- Must have good Computer skills and knowledge. (Especially Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Experience with statistical software (e.g., Minitab)
- Trained in Statistical Process Control and able to apply statistical techniques to Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility Studies, Process Capability Studies, DOE and control charts.
- Trained in problem solving methodology and able to organize and lead problem solving teams.
