Manual Lathe Machinist & CNC Mill/Lathe Operator

• Pay: $23-$26/hr
• Hours: 5AM - 5PM, Monday - Saturday
• Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
• Location: Southeast Tulsa

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Manual Lathe Machinist and CNC Mill/Lathe Operator to join our team. This position involves programming and operating both manual and CNC machines to create parts according to precise specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program and operate manual mill and lathe machines to meet part specifications
• Inspect finished parts with micrometers, calipers, and other measuring devices to ensure accuracy
• Select appropriate tooling and set up machines accurately for each job
• Maintain high-quality standards and keep work areas clean and organized
• Independently make offsets and edits to meet production quotas
• Participate in R&D design reviews and collaborate with the team to ensure project success

Additional Duties:

• Mentor and assist less experienced machinists and CNC operators
• Interpret blueprints to guide machining processes
• Set up and operate EDM machines as required
• Perform other tasks with sound judgment and critical thinking

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED
• Training in programming and operating CNC machines, or equivalent work experience
• At least 5 years of experience in programming and operating CNC and manual machines
• Proficient with CNC equipment, calipers, micrometers, and height gauges
• Basic computer skills and mathematical skills, including knowledge of geometry and trigonometry
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
