Manual Tester / Sr. SDET Analyst
Location – Seattle, WA
Duration – 6 months Plus Ext.
Salary - DOE (open w-2 /c2c/1099) Contract to hire, No Visa sponsorship available for this job.
Looking for tester to support the testing of the Point of Sale (POS. This individual will be writing, executing and following test plans from start to finish by leading a team of individual testers.
The roles will be working on either new product team and or supporting critical POS technology for Multi-tier redemption program.
Candidate Requirements
• 2+ years experience writing and executing test plans and leading test teams.
• 1+ years experience leading defect triage and communicating test execution status
• Proactive approach, willing to take the initiative and associated responsibility.
• Experience planning and executing both manual, stepwise tests and exploratory tests from test scenarios without stepwise detail
• Excellent diagnostic, problem solving and process analysis skills.
• Ability to think outside the box and look at the big picture to determine solutions that fit within strategic directions to make things better.
• Ability to build relationships with various stakeholders & comfort dealing with all levels within the organization.
• Excellent English communication skills (written and oral).
• Basic understanding of test automation
• Attention to detail and the ability to master new applications and technologies.
• Flexibility and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines.
• Excellent analytical and prioritization skills
• Experience with Confluence Tools, Jira
Nice to have Skills: SQL querying, WPF framework, script programming, Marimba, Azure Service Portal
Able to write and execute test plans and lead test teams, including planning and executing both manual, stepwise tests and exploratory tests from test scenarios without stepwise detail

Ability to think outside the box and look at the big picture to determine solutions that fit within strategic directions to make things better.
POS continues to grow in functionality and reliability. The team needs support in manual testing in order to meet the demands to scale.
Develops, maintains and executes quality assurance test scripts and checklists, reviews documentation and tracking of rollout activities and reports on status and final results of those activities.
Typical Day in the Role
• Develop and execute quality assurance test scripts, tests plan and checklists.
• Strong understanding of project management or software development lifecycle methodologies like Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall & Agile.
• Experience designing and developing integrated tests between components and across applications.
• Experience with projects that sit across technology and other areas of the business and involved the adoption of associated business process changes that improved the overall organizational efficiency.
• Attends project review meetings to provide input regarding all system functions and allow for planning of quality assurance testing on upcoming changes.
• Creates and publishes reports on status and results of quality assurance testing activities.
• Develops and maintains quality assurance test scripts, test plans and checklists starting at project design phase, for all current and new applications.
• Organizes materials and acts as librarian for all quality assurance test scripts, procedures and materials.
