POSITION SUMMARY
This shift is assigned to "B" shift (1:00-11:00pm) in the Plan Vault. This position compiles and maintains control records and related files to release blueprints, drawings, and engineering documents to manufacturing and other operating departments: Examines documents, such as blueprints, drawings, change orders, and specifications to verify completeness and accuracy of data.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
* Confers with document originators or engineering liaison personnel to resolve discrepancies and compiles required changes to documents.
* Posts changes to computerized or manual control records, releases documents, and notifies affected departments.
* Maintains related files to defined procedures
* Assists in the development and maintenance of procedures
* May prepare requests for reproduction of documents.
* May operate reproduction equipment.
* May prepare reports and memorandums as required
* Reviews, recommends and plans implementation of new processes and procedures
* Resolves issues between other departments both up and down the supply chain
* Maintains a commitment to the company vision and the "spirit" of the organization.
* Perform special assignments as required
* Must abide by and enforce all organizational policies and procedures.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee's workspace is in a clean and comfortable climate-controlled setting with little to no exposure to the moving equipment, elements, extreme conditions, or risk of injury. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. When entering the shipyard, the work environment is not climate-controlled and there is exposure to moving equipment, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
* High School diploma or equivalent.
* At least one year of administrative experience required, preferably in a Manufacturing environment.
* Experience managing technical documents in support of engineering department and/or manufacturing preferred
* Must have strong Microsoft Office Suites computer skills.
SKILLS:
* Good verbal and written communications skills.
* Strong organization skills and process adherence to defined procedures.
* Must have the ability to maintain a professional demeanor.
* Must have ability to maintain confidentiality.
