Manufacturing Associate - Piper Companies

Piper Health and Sciences is seeking a skilled and motivated Manufacturing Associate to join a well-established biopharmaceutical company in the Gaithersburg, MD area.

Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Associate:

·       Provide support to upstream and downstream teams

·       Perform cell culture operations such as BSC operation, bioreactor operation and centrifuge harvest (upstream and downstream)

·       Responsible for preparing media/buffers, and weighing raw materials

·       Operate production equipment such as column chromatography, TFF (tangential flow filtration), column packing

·       Prepare and maintain accurate documentation of experimental procedures, results, and observations in accordance with established guidelines.

Qualifications of the Manufacturing Associate:

·       1+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment for a biopharmaceutical organization (upstream, downstream or fill/finish)

·       Bachelor's Degree with 1+ year of experience or Associate's Degree with 2+ years of relevant experience

Compensation of the Manufacturing Associate II:

·       Salary: Between $52,000 - $72,000 based on years of relevant experience
