Job Description: Manufacturing Engineer
Position Overview:
We are seeking a engineer with expertise in cables, connectors, and building Bills of Materials (BOMs) to develop proposals that detail parts, labor, and associated costs for complex build-to-test assemblies.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate on building and pricing Bills of Materials (BOMs) for various Interface Test Assemblies/Adapters, based on a parts list, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Translate BOMs into detailed proposals, incorporating all labor costs necessary for assembly.
- Work with suppliers and internal procurement for sourcing cables, connectors, and other required materials, ensuring all elements are accounted for in the proposal.
- Follow an established build-to-test process, with all designs and specifications provided by the client.
- Maintain a close working relationship with internal teams, ensuring timely and accurate project execution.
Qualifications:
- Experience with complex wiring, cabling, wiring harnesses, and interface test assemblies/adapters.
- Strong understanding of cost estimation for labor associated with technical build-to-test assemblies.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) is preferred, though extensive relevant experience will be taking into consideration.
This position requires a methodical engineer who is skilled in managing complex technical requirements and translating them into clear, cost-effective proposals.
