Our organization is seeking a dynamic Manufacturing Engineer to join our fast-paced, innovative team. This is a permanent role that offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and play a pivotal role in the design, development, and optimization of our manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and project management, with a proven track record of implementing lean manufacturing principles to drive process improvement. Proficiency in AutoCAD is also required. The candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead the development, evaluation, and improvement of manufacturing methods, systems, and processes, focusing on improving efficiency, productivity, and reducing costs.
2. Utilize lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste and streamline operations.
3. Develop and implement process improvements to ensure product quality and increase production efficiency.
4. Collaborate with design engineering and other internal teams to improve product design for manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
5. Use AutoCAD software for designing and modifying manufacturing systems and processes.
6. Oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
7. Train and mentor staff on new processes and equipment, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
8. Analyze and plan workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout for maximum efficiency.
9. Ensure all manufacturing processes and procedures comply with safety and environmental regulations.
10. Provide technical support to the manufacturing department to resolve complex production problems.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
3. Demonstrated experience in lean manufacturing, process improvement, and project management.
4. Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
5. Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and their impact on product outcomes.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
7. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead projects to successful completion.
8. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
9. Proven ability to train and mentor others in new processes and equipment.
10. Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations in the manufacturing industry.
