JOB TITLE: Manufacturing Engineer - Composites

LOCATION: Start in Mesa, AZ with 4 to 6 weeks of training onsite in Mojave, CA

Pay Rate: Up To $75/HR

• 12-month contract with opportunities for extension

• Hybrid 4 days a week onsite, one day remote

Summary: 

• Develop and refine manufacturing processes, including tooling, equipment, and layout, to enhance efficiency.

• Analyze workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow for optimal production efficiency.

• Collaborate with design, engineering, and vendors to ensure manufacturability, and review designs for efficiency.

• Estimate production times, staffing needs, and costs for management decision-making.

• Create manufacturing and nonconformance work instructions.

• Support process optimization and lean manufacturing initiatives.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or 5+ years of relevant experience in lieu of formal education.

• FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license is a plus.

• Experience with Avionics LRU’s, Circuit Boards, Wiring Harnesses, and composite assembly (BMI preferred).

• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing and AS9100.

• Proficient in CAD (CATIA V5/3dx preferred), GD&T, and ERP systems.

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
