NSi Industries is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer - Die Cast whose primary responsibility is to develop, improve and maintain diecast manufacturing best practices. The successful candidate will be able to improve industrial processes to reduce costs, improve efficiency, improve sustainability, and maximize profitability in collaboration with our project teams.
Duties, Responsibilities and Skills:
Salary Range: $97,920 to $134,640
NSi Industries is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer - Die Cast whose primary responsibility is to develop, improve and maintain diecast manufacturing best practices. The successful candidate will be able to improve industrial processes to reduce costs, improve efficiency, improve sustainability, and maximize profitability in collaboration with our project teams.
Duties, Responsibilities and Skills:
- Improve molding and secondary processes by analyzing and planning workflow, machine functionality and equipment layout
- Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting hands-on assessments
- Solicit observations from operators and setup technicians
- Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment
- Provide manufacturing decision making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs
- Confer with equipment vendors
- Keep equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services, following manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures
- Assess compliance with applicable safety and quality standards.
- Contribute to departmental efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
- Create and manage process documentation and operating instructions
- Provide process documentation and operating instructions
- BS or higher degree in Engineering.
- Previous working experience as a Process Engineer for 3 years
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, metal stamping, automated assembly
- Working knowledge of CAD (Solidworks, Pro-E, Inventor, AutoCad or etc)
- Excellent communication skills.
- Lean Manufacturing Tools Application
- Previous experience in zinc diecasting
- Knowledge of electrical cable, connectors, electrical testing
- Project Management Experience
- Lean Six Sigma Certified
- Bilingual - Spanish
- Previous experience in quality or business process engineering
Salary Range: $97,920 to $134,640
