Georgia-Pacific Dixie® Consumer Products Operation is seeking qualified professionals to consider for a Manufacturing Engineer - Facilities role supporting the Consumer Products Group Operations located in Muskogee, OK. The Muskogee facility uses integrated technology to manufacture tissue and paper towel products in a progressive production environment.
The Manufacturing Engineer for Facilities at Georgia-Pacific is responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes and facility infrastructure to enhance productivity, efficiency, and safety. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining systems that support the manufacturing operations, with a strong emphasis on continuous improvement, sustainability, and compliance with industry standards. This position will collaborate closely with production teams, maintenance personnel, and external contractors to ensure that facility operations align with Georgia-Pacific's strategic objectives and operational excellence.

What You Will Do
- Embrace influential leadership to support the organization while advancing our Principle-Based Management (PBM) culture
- Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality
- Design and implement facility layouts that optimize workflow and space utilization
- Lead facility-related projects, from concept through implementation, ensuring project goals, timelines, and budgets are achieved
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including architects, contractors, and equipment suppliers
- Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs for facility and production equipment
- Implement reliability engineering principles to extend the lifespan of building systems and manufacturing equipment
- Drive initiatives to reduce energy consumption and improve sustainability within the manufacturing facilities
- Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance teams and production staff on facility systems and equipment
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Experience in manufacturing engineering within a facilities context, preferably in the paper or consumer products industry
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles
- Proven project management skills and experience leading cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in CAD software and facility management systems
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
What Will Put You Ahead
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Operations Management
- Experience working in a paper, pulp or converting environment
- Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, contractors, and other stakeholders
- Ability to analyze complex situations, identify root causes, and develop appropriate solutions
- Lean Six Sigma certification
