POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will have responsibility for the proactive research and resolution of existing component-related technical issues. Job scope includes the review of project releases, product releases, product usage, component manufacturing strategy, component lifecycle, and documentation accuracy. This will be accomplished through component research for potential substitutions and recommendations for OEM/RB/RBx projects as well as historical installed base component reviews. This position will also serve as a backup and support for ERP functions tied to the execution of released projects and orders.
Position Duties and Responsibilities
- Part manufacturing strategy analysis and design review/revision, back-up to Operations
- Inactive/Obsolete parts purchasing substitution investigation and verification for Form/Fit/Function
- Review and ongoing update of the active component engineering list and releases for optimal supply.
- Provide technical review of components for quality and engineering requirements.
- Technical contact for the development and coordination of a viable competitive parts supply/upgrade path.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- Ability to learn and adopt current cultural development initiatives and practice consistently.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience:
- Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering BS or Associates
- Engineering Industrial experience with 5+ years of manufacturing experience
Supervisory Responsibilities
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Competencies & Certification
- Technical depth of knowledge to evaluate component conformance to requirements
- Attention to detail and high-level approach to documentation.
- Process rigor to ensure communication and actions are executed.
- AutoCAD/3D/Inventor CAD experience preferred.

- Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or stand for prolonged periods in an office or field setting.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
- Ability to effectively work prioritizing in a highly demanding environment.
