JOB TITLE: Manufacturing Engineer III - Aerospace
LOCATION: Savannah, GA
PAY RATE: $55.00 per hour

Summary:
Work independently to analyze, plan, and resolve manufacturing issues, focusing on production methods, layout, tooling, and equipment in both production and post-production environments.
Conduct complex technical studies and recommend improvements in manufacturing processes, including assembly and installations.
Write detailed work instructions to optimize efficiency and reduce defects, collaborating with Operations Engineering.
Develop rework instructions and manage MBOM in SAP/Solumina/Corridor to ensure proper assembly processes.
Assist in make-or-buy proposals and vendor evaluations, recommending corrective actions.
Perform productibility studies, supporting Design for Manufacturing assessments.
Apply statistical methods to forecast manufacturing requirements and generate reports.
Audit colleagues' work to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
Incorporate Lean Manufacturing methodologies into processes.
Lead or coordinate projects across multiple teams with minimal supervision.
Apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to manufacturing processes.
Support safety, sustainability, and ergonomic initiatives.
Ensure compliance with quality policies, making recommendations to improve quality.
Track and report on daily/weekly activity status.
Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
18 months of experience in manufacturing engineering, planning, or related technical roles.
Proven knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma principles.
Familiarity with engineering configurations, tooling, quality control, safety, and blueprint reading.
Proficiency with computerized tools (CADAM, CATIA, SAP, Solumina, Corridor).
Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt Certification or higher preferred.
