About the Job
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the development of manufacturing processes from R&D through to high-volume production.
- Create and optimize techniques, process flows, and work instructions for product lines, components, and assemblies.
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of production materials.
- Troubleshoot production issues with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Lead factory expansion efforts, including equipment procurement and layout design.
Qualifications:
- Experience in process development and manufacturing engineering.
- Proficiency in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and PFMEA methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams and external vendors.
- Knowledge of statistical process control and quality standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with lighting or power supply manufacturing is a plus.
- Familiarity with assembly line optimization and visual work instructions.
- Background in capital equipment planning and factory layout design.
- Strong mentoring skills, particularly in production techniques.
- Continuous improvement experience, including training production teams.
