Requirements: Manufacturing Engineer
- US Person
- Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited college, or related military experience in addition to previously listed degree options
- 5+ years of professional experience with a Bachelor's, or 3+ years of professional experience with a Master's
- Previous manufacturing and lean principles experience
- 3+ years of Windchill Software Experience
- 3+ years of Microsoft Suite (Power Point, Excel, Word, etc)
- 3+ Lean Six Sigma Experience
- 3+ Technical Writing Experience manufacturing work instructions
- Designs manufacturing processes procedures and production layouts for assemblies' equipment installation processing machining and material handling.
- Designs arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout.
- Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
- Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
- May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.
- Inspects performance of machinery equipment and tools to verify their efficiency and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
- Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques.
- Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
- Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
- Create and standardize Next Generation manufacturing work instructions.
- Working in a factory setting with a multi-disciplined team.
- Supporting shop floor operators in a variety of build processes, acquiring feedback, and resolving work stoppages through hardware support, continuous improvement initiatives, defect disposition, and root cause analysis.
- Performs training of supervisors, other engineers, and shop floor personnel in manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and/or requirement specification documents and define manufacturing steps to meet all requirements.
- Conceptualize assembly using mechanical aptitudes (understanding material properties, heat transfer, and structural properties).
