Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes and equipment using principles of robotics, machine vision, and sensors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define production requirements, identify potential manufacturing challenges, and develop innovative solutions.
- Evaluate current manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement in terms of efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation of manufacturing processes, including process maps, equipment specs, and standard operating procedures.
- Oversee the installation, validation, and performance qualification of new manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues to ensure minimal disruption to production schedules.
- Stay current with the latest developments in manufacturing technology and scientific instrumentation, and propose their application where relevant.
- Ensure all manufacturing processes and equipment comply with industry standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in the scientific or high-tech industry.
- Proven expertise in robotics, machine vision, and sensors.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and cost optimization.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and communicate complex technical concepts.
- Proficiency in relevant software, such as CAD and CAM systems, and programming languages such as Python or C++.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to manufacturing in the scientific industry.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Strong commitment to continuous learning and staying current with the latest developments in the field.
