We are looking for another Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The Manufacturing Engineer will work under the mentorship of Senior Engineers and in support of the Production Team to deploy and/or optimize production. Typical projects supported by The Manufacturing Engineer at P1 include process deployment in support of new product engineering, optimizing current processes in support of safety, cost, quality or on time delivery, and ensuring the production floor is validated/certified to produce products.
***Essential Duties
Develop an understanding of customer requirements and industry knowledge to become a subject matter expert in your area of expertise
Support the Commercial Team with detailed proposal review and approval on behalf of Manufacturing Engineering
Validate production processes meet customer quality requirements and delivery expectations and document accordingly
Build detailed Bills of Material and shop routings for larger projects within P1’s MRP system and work with production managers on scheduling and tracking progress relative to customer needs.
Distill customer specifications into concise requirements for raw material, manufacturing processes, and quality documentation.
Support or guide problem solving efforts and bring Lessons Learned back to Manufacturing Engineering for prioritization and implementation
Create, review, and update job routers with a focus on continuous improvement against labor, materials, cost, quality, and On Time Delivery metrics
Ensure manufacturing processes are compliant with P1 and governmental standards
***Position Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, or similar Engineering; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Proven attention to detail and focus in an active environment with the ability to proactively complete tasks while working independently
Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Proven history applying lean manufacturing principles
Demonstrated experience with root cause analysis and successful corrective and preventative action implementation
Demonstrated ability to coach the manufacturing team
Experience in production operations, safety, quality, and security protocols
Proven history working within a Quality Management System
Experience working in an organization in a lean, or other transformation
Experience working with DoD clients and products is a plus
You should be proficient in:

Salary info:
$33.65 - $48.08 / hr
