About the Job
Selectek is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer for a senior role on a direct-hire basis. Our partnering company, located near Utica, Michigan, needs candidates with strong backgrounds in manufacturing systems and gauging technology to oversee projects.
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Expected Pay Range: $100,000 to $150,000 based on experience
Location: Northern Detroit, MI
Job Requirements:
- Five to ten years of manufacturing leadership experience
- Knowledge of machine design and fabrication process
- Experience with gauging machinery, including static, backlash gauge, and pinion preload
- Ideal candidates have a degree in Manufacturing Technology and end of line test gauge
In addition to these requirements, candidates must hold United States citizenship, per the clients request. Selectek is unable to provide sponsorship or work visa documentation.
Job Details:
- Become a systems expert to guide manufacturing with knowledge of equipment and scope of work
- Determine machine readiness/programming, trial parts in machines, and check tooling fits
- Troubleshoot and assist the build team in documenting open issues and resolutions
- Lead any necessary part builds and work with customers and project managers to determine the availability of parts
- Assist in customer runoff, and ensure machines cycle/build are properly exercised before runoff
- Work with customer and project manager to ensure satisfaction during project implementation
