MANUFACTURING ENGINEER
My client, a notable aerospace company, is looking for an experienced, highly motivated Manufacturing Engineer in the Windsor Locks, CT area to create manufacturing operations sheets and support the shop during its implementation.

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year College or University in Engineering, Manufacturing or related field. A minimum of 5 years related experience in the aerospace industry or general manufacturing.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and customers.
Other Skills and Qualifications
A strong background in manufacturing and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is required.
Excellent communication skills are needed; both verbal and written.

- Create 3D models of the assembly and all components in SolidWorks
- Create operation sheets / work instructions from 3D model in SolidWorks
- Create routing / BOM / item cards in ERP (intuitive)
- Create milestones / project plans and make sure engineering tasks stay on track.
- Follow parts through shop to make sure there are no issues.
- Interact with shop personnel when developing processes.
- Possible tool design
- Provide support to customers / vendors on any engineering related items.
- Possible quoting
- Participate in root causes and other CI projects
