- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution
- 8 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Capital project & budget management experience
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in an engineering management role
- Masters degree in business, engineering, or related
- Experience leading a team of multi-disciplined engineers
- Experience with forging, PLC, hydraulic systems
- Experience with SolidWorks, Oracle, and Excel
- Excellent written and oral communication skills

This position is responsible for:
- Leading the HWS Cleveland Forge engineering team, including mechanical, electrical, and project engineering.
- Ownership of the HWS Cleveland Forge Capital Expenditure program
- Leading the management and execution of projects for HWS Cleveland Forge
- Proposing identified changes to equipment, processes, materials, and/or services to improve processes and reduce costs in operations.
The ideal candidate will be adept at the following:
- Judgement: Act with a view to what is appropriate, reasonable, timely and realistic
- Initiative: Takes independent action and goes beyond what situation requires
- Self-Reliance: Demonstrates self-confidence in own ideas, judgments, and capabilities
- Coach Mindset: Develops others without regard to differences in background or perspective. Identifies gaps in current skillset and works with human resources to close them via employee training, succession planning activities, and pipeline talent initiatives
Direct reports include Automation Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Technical Controls Specialists, and engineering co-op participants.
Major Activities & Key Challenges:
- Lead with influence in a cross functional team environment
- Work within and create Capital Authorization Requests
- Development of financial cost justification
- Frequent use of AutoCad, and 3D parametric solid modeling
- Utilization of Microsoft Project
