Description

• Permanent position for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager for CNC machine shop and wire EDM operations.
• Design and development of extrusion tooling.
• Maintain engineering records, both electronic and hard copy.
• Design form part print to develop tooling for extrusion process.
• Collaborate with Sales to understand customer expectations and needs for specific products.
• Assist and advices on material selections.
• Estimate cost for tooling, materials, and labor.
• Determine quality specifications and GD&T for new products.
• Create BOMs, routers and fixtures.
• Negotiate with outside tool shops to create punches, metal coatings, and heat treating.
• Develop specifications and coordinate equipment purchases for manufacturing operations.
• Optimize manufacturing processes.
• Train operators for manufacturing operations.

Requirements

• BS Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
• Experience managing CNC machining, wire EDM and extrusion operations.
• Experience with extrusion operations,
• Experience designing tooling and fixtures.
• Knowledge of feed screw design and screw selection for different materials.
• Experience with AutoCAD 2015, Esprite, and AutoDesk 360.
• Experience wiht Charmilles 300 and Chamilles 240.
