Job Overview:
As a Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you will lead and enhance our manufacturing processes, focusing on operational efficiency, quality improvement, and project execution. Your role will involve managing cross-functional teams, guiding process innovations, and implementing lean manufacturing principles. This position requires a results-driven leader who can pivot between strategic oversight and hands-on support, ensuring seamless production flow and adherence to company goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers and production staff, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Develop and refine manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement lean manufacturing techniques.
- Manage capital projects, including budgeting, planning, and equipment upgrades.
- Utilize project management tools like Microsoft Project to ensure timelines and resources are efficiently managed.
- Design and develop tooling for manufacturing, including custom fixtures and jigs.
- Oversee process planning and NC programming for both new and existing products.
- Own and execute the capital equipment plan, preparing write-ups and managing project approvals.
- Establish production standards and develop manufacturing plans for new equipment.
Recommended Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or related roles.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering results.
- Proven experience in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Expertise in developing manufacturing tools and equipment.
- Familiarity with project management software such as Microsoft Project.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in NC programming and process planning.
- Strong background in managing capital projects and equipment upgrades.
- Hands-on experience in a high-volume production setting.
