Manufacturing Equipment Repair Technician - Johnson & Johnson

About the Job
- Inspects, completes, and coordinates maintenance of manufacturing equipment which may include mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems.
- Plans, coordinates, and performs installation, setups, and changeovers of machinery
- Tests and adjusts as needed
- Diagnoses and repairs malfunctioning equipment
- Recommends and implements process improvements
- Updates required documentation, including maintenance and repair logs
- Prepares trouble reports for malfunctioning equipment
- Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
- Applies safety procedures to all work
- Orders parts and supplies in accordance with department procedures
- Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
- Performs other duties assigned as needed
Qualifications:
- Vocational, Certificate, Technical or Associates
- 4-6 Years Work Experience
Experience and Skills:
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Related equipment maintenance experience and/or training
- Able to work in an ISO Class 8 Clean Room environment requiring gowning
- Basic Computer skills (Microsoft Windows, Internet Explorer) required
- Able to supply own hand tools/rollaway toolbox (i.e., screw drivers, socket wrenches, etc.)
- Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills and be able to support cross functional teams including Quality, Operations & Engineering
- The ability to lift heavy loads. Stand and/or walk more than 90% of the time and perform twisting and turning activities and in a manufacturing/machine shop environment is required
- Must be able to be On Call for a week every other month as required to support 24/7 manufacturing operations
Preferred:
- Training in machining operations and/or electrical/electronic
- Clean room experience is a plus
- The ability to read and interpret complex assembly drawings, electrical and pneumatic schematics
- Experience with automation, including highly complex mechanical assemblies, pneumatics, PLC, and motion controllers
