Manufacturing Maintenance Manager – Heavy Industry
Our client is seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Manager specializing in Maintenance Leadership Excellence for their heavy industry plant in Indiana.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of progressively increasing leadership experience in Maintenance or Engineering within a unionized heavy industry operation.
- Expertise in reliability ensuring optimal uptime performance.
- Identify capital projects and capital needed for each project.
- Proven ability to work as a Business Partner.
- Change Management experience
- CI experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment
- Experienced in developing direct reports to facilitate career growth.
- Proven ability to build high-performing teams
- Extensive analysis and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrate ability to identify and improve system issues across the entire operation.
EDUCATION:Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technical, or business-related field.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Partner with Engineering and Operations to ensure all plant assets are maintained most effectively while sustaining continuous plant operations.
- Lead, coach, develop, and motivate subordinate personnel to achieve department objectives in a timely, safe, and environmentally compliant manner.
- Manage strategic business plan deployment in collaboration with all departments at the location.
- Manage a comprehensive predictive and preventative maintenance program while sustainably minimizing repair & maintenance costs.
- Build a safe and effective organization through sustained employee engagement at all levels of the organization.
- Function as a business partner with other managers/leaders within the plant, the BU, and the company to drive results beyond their department.
- Establish and communicate a strategic vision that establishes a clear direction for the organization while providing the tools necessary for communication with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Develop strategic maintenance direction for 3-year plan.
- Participate in the preparation of operational budgets, capital plans, appropriation requests, and project follow-up.
- Continually improve the effectiveness of the people, processes and facilities.
- Ensure safe, efficient, cost-effective and reliable maintenance execution that meets changing volume requirements and production schedules.
- Manage relationship with union committee; maintain compliance with collective bargaining agreement.
