Purpose
We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Manufacturing Process Trainer Generalist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and management of training programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of our manufacturing team. Your goal will be to ensure that all employees are well-versed in our manufacturing processes, safety protocols, and quality standards.
Main Responsibilities
Assist in developing and implementing strategies, initiatives, and materials to support manufacturing training needs.
Specific Duties
Training Program Development:
- Assist in the design and development of comprehensive training programs tailored to manufacturing processes and operational needs.
- Create and update training materials, including manuals, presentations, videos, and e-learning modules.
- Assess and identify training needs and gaps within the manufacturing team.
- Test and review created materials.
Training Delivery:
- Conduct classroom training sessions and workshops for new hires and existing employees.
- Ensure training sessions are engaging, interactive, and aligned with company standards.
- Track and report training KPIs based on collected training data.
Process Improvement:
- Collaborate with the manufacturing leadership and QA teams to identify areas for process improvement and develop training solutions to address these needs.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and propose necessary adjustment to the current process.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements to incorporate new techniques and technologies into training programs.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure all training programs comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Promote a culture of safety by emphasizing best practices and proper use of equipment.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, and employee progress.
- Prepare regular reports on training outcomes and areas for improvement.
- Assist on updating the training Matrix on monthly basis.
Education and Experience
- BS Degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of training experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with technologies and best practices for instructional manuals and teaching platforms.
- Experience training on company manufacturing Standard Operating Procedures.
- Certification from talent and training association a plus.
- Experience in the electrical transformer industry is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse audiences.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel), video editing software, and instructional software.
- Organized and able to create multiple timelines and schedules.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently.
- Ease of speech and clarity when speaking to be able to assist with the creation of e-learning modules.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to take initiative.
- Desire to work outside of boundaries, drive change and foster continuous improvement.
- Fluent in Spanish a plus.
